Configure Visuals

Customize the metrics, dimensions, and filters that are available for selection in visuals.

To access the visual configuration settings:

  • In a project, on the navigation bar, click Model > Settings > Visual Configuration.

Career Paths and Sourcing Paths

Using the visual title, end users can select a dimension that determines the job taxonomy that is analyzed for employee movement. We look at the changes to the selected dimension to generate common paths and calculate transition metrics. For more information, see Career Paths Visual and Sourcing Paths Visual.

This setting controls the dimensions that users can select in the visual title to conduct their analysis. You may want to add or remove dimensions based on the data you have and how your organization classifies jobs.

Note: Only leveled and parent-child dimensions are supported.

Under Available dimensions for Career Paths and Sourcing Paths, do one of the following,

  • To add a dimension, click Add Dimension and select a dimension from the Employee subject.
  • To remove a dimension, click the Remove button .

Note:  

  • The dimension order determines what dimension is initially applied to the visuals, and not the order in which the dimensions appear in the picker.
    • The dimensions will be evaluated in order and the first dimension that the end user has access to will be the default dimension used in the visuals.
    • The dimensions will appear in alphabetical order in the picker.

  • Attributes you've configured for the visual must also be added to the Career Movement concept (careerMovement) in order for Detailed View to work.
